About Us

The department of anesthesiology is a part of KAUMS and contributes to provide the best in patient care as well as the finest educational experience for residents as the next generation of care providers. It strives to make its graduates to be the leaders of the future in all the anesthesiology fields, not just the ones in the operating room, including intensive care, the labor and delivery suites, acute and chronic pain treatment. Since research is an important part of the field of anesthesia, the department as well as residents participate in a wide range of research programs. The research outcomes of such investigations will be used to continually improve vital clinical tasks. The anesthesiology department of KAUMS has over 8 faculty members. It should be noted that in addition to train anesthesiology residents; the department is involved in the training of medical students and students of bachelor's degree of anesthesia. It also has cooperation with the almost all other clinical groups for both clinical services and educational practices.
