The department of surgery is divided into two subgroups including general and special surgery that give significant healthcare services for a range of diseases requiring surgical treatment. It also offers unparalleled leadership in adult and pediatric surgery. The fundamental mission of the group is to provide the highest quality patient care, conducting innovative medical research and offering the best training for young surgeons and physicians. The department works to provide leading edge clinical health care with over 15 faculty members with different subspecialties (Neurosurgeon, Heart Surgeon, Orthopedic Surgeon, Urology Surgeon, and Physical Medicine Specialist) who are dedicated to offering comprehensive surgical care in various fields of surgery. Such as vascular, cardiothoracic, trauma and critical care, pediatrics, plastic, breast, anorectal, and cancer. To provide every patient with the best possible care, the department offers comprehensive programs based on interdisciplinary collaboration among its specialists. In addition to training medical students, the physicians and staffs also prepare residents for surgery, neurosurgery and orthopedic training programs.
