About Us

This group, as one of the major clinical education groups, with its own different subspecialties including, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Hematology & Oncology and Nephrology is responsible for a systematic and targeted training program in a dynamic and refreshing environment, to the medical students in the fields of Physiopathology, Clinical Training and Internships. The group is also training Internal Medicine residents in a 4-year program and Infectious Disease and Neurology residents in their general part of specialty training, while respecting the high standards of their patients' rights to provide students with scientific and practical skills for an appropriate diagnosis and treatment of internal disorders. With about 250 mornings report sessions each year. This group has a significant impact on clinical teaching and learning process for both the undergraduate and post-graduate learners. 


The Department of Internal Medicine has sustained a tradition of robust achievement and growth in research, patient care, teaching, and service. We bridge basic science, health service research as well as clinical care through innovative, inclusive, disciplined leadership in clinical service, education, and science.


The vision is to maintain and enhance our cutting-edge clinical expertise for the care and treatment of all patients and their families.
