Heath & Management Nursing Department

About Us

The heath-management nursing department  is one of  nursing departments in the School of nursing and midwifery. This department includes the subgroups of mental-health nursing, public health nursing, pediatric nursing and management nursing.  This department of Kashan University of Medical Sciences established in 1986 and. Health- management nursing department is responsible for teaching and training students in patient in various hospital and client's health in permary care centers. Different theoretical, practical and clinical courses are presented by the members of this department in bachelor degrees, master of science and Ph.D.

This department covers a wide range of subjects in nursing education. The faculty members of this department are actively engaged in community health centers and provide basic education in preventive nursing. The mental health issues in public health and in psychiatric wards are other areas that are covered by the members of this department. The education of students in pediatric nursing is other subject.  Missions

The mission of this department is to help students get familiar with the importance of prevention in nursing and the role of nurses in community health. Providing education in mental health nursing, nursing management and pediatric nursing are the main goals of this department.

Facilities

The educational facilities of the department are includings moulage, anatomical model, mega code and advance molage for CPR procedure and ect in skill lab center. This center include all procedure in field of nursing care. 

Implementation of education

The undergraduate education of  Midwifery in KAUMS is divided into practical and theoretical periods, practical period include two intership parts for jenior and senior students. Each period is followed by two exams containing theoretical and practical. The school year includes eight semesters. The first year consists of compulsory and elective courses in basic science. The second and third year consists of practical and theoretical courses in special lessons and last year consists only intership courses. Students give the final exam at the end of the undergraduate course. this exam consists practical and theoretical parts.
