Statute of Biochemistry and Nutrition Research Center in Metabolic Disorders

Introduction
To expand fundamental, applied research and to obtain effective solutions for health-related disorders, Biochemistry and Nutrition Research Center, referred to as Research Center in this Statute, was approved to achieve the following goals.

Goals
1. Developing and applying human knowledge in the field of biochemistry and nutrition
2. Performing epidemiological and clinical research to improve the views and to provide health services in order to fulfill the needs of the Islamic community
3. Collection, adjustment and classification of documents, papers and relevant evidence and their publication
4. Development of human research resource in biochemistry and nutrition
5. Encouragement and involvement of researchers
6. Efforts to attract attention and cooperation of relevant research as well as administration centers within the country
7. Scientific cooperation with the research and educational centers of other countries as well as international organizations in accordance with the laws and regulations of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran
The center elements:
A) Supreme Council
B) Center Head
 
The members of supreme council of the center are as follows:
1. Head of Kashan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services
2. Research Assistance of Kashan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services
3. Assistance of Health Affairs of Kashan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services
4. Head of the Center
5. Three faculty members with the suggestion of the head of the center and the approval of the head of the university

The duties of supreme council of the center are as follows:
1. Approval of center research policies
2. Approval of cooperation projects with other universities and research institutes inside and outside of the country and international organizations in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations
3. Reviewing and approval of the annual report of the center activities
4. Reviewing and approval of the annual budget of the center within the scope of allocation of credits and observance of legal regulations
5. Approval of guidelines for the internal affairs of supreme council and executive directives of the research center
6. Proposal of the organization of the center

Note: Supreme council approvals will be based on policies and coordination with the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Education.

Appointment of the center head
The head of the center shall be appointed on a proposal from the supreme council of the center, and the order of the head of the medical sciences university every four years.

Duties of the Head of the Center
The head of the center is the highest executive officer of the center and, according to the laws and approval of the supreme council, performs duties and affairs of the center.

Members of the center
The center has two types of members as follows:
A) Permanent members: the members of the faculty and full-time experts in the center
B) Affiliated members: the faculty members of other departments of the University of Medical Sciences and both universities and institutions of higher education

Financial resources of the center
A) Revenues from services of the center in accordance with legal requirements
B) Aid and gifts of real and legal individuals
C) Government credits in case of allocation

According to the approval of the council for the development of medical universities on June 30, 2012, this statute was approved in nine articles and one approval.
